Fun horizontal/vertical tasting of 1988 Bosche and Sycamore side by side with 1992 Bosche and Sycamore. The 88 Bosche was definitely on the downside. There was some oxidation but still evidenced the leather and earthiness expected from Bosche. Interesting contrast vs. the more floral and red fruit flavors associated with the Sycamore.

Wine was a bit off... perhaps missed its prime. Decanted, but to no avail. Poured it down the drain :(

Quick visit to Napa and Sonoma; 7/9/2004-7/10/2004 (Sonoma and Napa): Tasting at winery. From magnum. Some old, toasty blackberry aromas with lots of leather. Fruit mostly faded on palate, short and bit astringent.
