Drinking well. Aged red cherry and mint. Little bit of truffle and mushroom. Tobacco leaf on the middle. A lot more rounded on the body then I expected. Finish is a little bit gravelly but very nice length and depth. These Napa's with a little bit of age on them are really drinking well. I would honestly say that there really is not too much of a hurry to drink this right now. But I also don't expect it to appreciate in the bottle, so why not drink now?

Decanted for one hour. Served with a smoked standing rib roast for Christmas. The smoke flavor of the meat was not an ideal pairing for this wine. A classic French steak preparation with butter and herbs would have been a better pairing.

Served w French style skillet ribeye steak & double-stuffed baked potatoes. Strong black pepper flavor along with black cherry.
