  I was excited to see this in a wine shop and I bought it.
  Sadly, it was obviously corked upon opening. Started off slightly flawed but got worse with time and was undrinkable within 30 minutes.
  Very sad. One of my favorite Aussie producers.

  really enjoyed this wine - mature and on the verge of drying out but delicious and full of character - quite lovely - drink soon

  nose of violet and lively red fruit. nice acidity, soft tannin and long finish.

  This did skew very old world and was a good surprise, with 13.3% alcohol and a decent acidity, it is decidedly restrained for a 1998 and while clearly a cab blend, exhibited a atypical restraint. This wine singlehandedly disproves the thought of the expected saturated Aussie wines from warm vintages.
