A New World Bordeaux Blend which has totally renewed my recognition. It has provoked my interests of exploring Yarra Valley wines. I can't imagine that the expression could be that elegant and complex, in the nose it showed violet, pine, fur, cinnamon, tobacco, mint, graphite... in the mouth, the acid, the tannin and the alcohol have been all in roundness, just like a well aged 1980s Pauillac (not like "good" vintages like 1982/86 )this is a wine that can make you find your "inner peace".

Yarra Yering Dry Red No. 1 - The Complete Vertical 1975 to 2006 (The Ledbury, London): Compared to the previous wines, this was much denser, murkier, more obvious oak, plums rather than blackcurrants, coconuts too - quite big, still young

Full bodied, purple-red wine with rich aromas. Fruit forward with a sense of plum. Nice structure with smooth, round tannin. Drinking fine. 10/00
