Great nose, plenty of dark fruit. Great mouth feel, bold, tannic, the dark fruits coming through, there’s a finesse to it, layered despite still having a lot of power. Primary still. Will go another 15+ easy.

Moss Wood Zoom Vertical tasting. Under cork. Drank in Grassl 1855. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of integrated sweet oak, blackcurrant fruit, cassis, sensual dark plums, blackberries, emerging dark earth with hint of eucalyptus. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, fine rounded plush high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity with flavours of blackberries, blackcurrant, sexy dark plums, cassis, integrated oak, chocolate + savoury earth tints and just a touch of mint/eucalyptus. Increasing to the long finish. Very good quality. Lovely well-aged New World Cab. Good to go. Fewyears more won't hurt too.

Great smooth Cabernet at the top of its life. No doubt it could get better but great to drink now. Just as well as it’s my last bottle of 2008. Fantastic!

Screw cap stopper so wine is still developing and looks quite young. Nose is still deep and dense still to reveal all its layers of flavours. Wine was delicious on the palate with vanilla cherry spice dense cassis and touch of capsicum, with layers of flavour. Very soft tannin and a velvety mouthfeel. Lovely wine with a lot still to show

Screw cap enclosure. Deep purple. Classic Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon profile: sturdy, robust and well structured. Smooth, well resolved tannins. Densely fruited, low acidity but quite fresh and lively.
