  • Ripe, rich and powerful CS from a fine vintage, still at its peak, drinking very well, they claim themselves that this was the best wine they made. Aged for 24 months in FR oak, 50% new. Deep garnet colour. Intense, dense aroma of smoky cassis, ripe blackberries and mulberries, herbs, tobacco, spices, tar. Full body, concentrated and powerful, deep herbal and smoky cassis flavours, chocolate hints, medium+ fine and spicy tannins, long finish.

  • This needed 30-45mins in a glass to open. Initially rustic with tomato leaf, gravel and blackcurrant. Very ripe in the mouth with a lovely tang (almost juicy apple), fine tannins and nice mint finish. Just lacks a touch of acidity. Very good and no hurry here - will cruise to 2030 easily. Try good. 93-94pts

  • A cosy evening with family: I bought this bottle in a pristine state a couple of months ago for 55 CHF.
Opened 45 minutes before drinking. Very youthful with a pure, mouth coating expression of fruit. One of the guests identified aromas of liquorice as time went by. Long finish.
Beautiful wine and a guests' favorite. Wish I had bought more bottles.

  • Haven’t had one of these for a few years so thought I would check in. Developing along nicely for 25 years, still some plushness and richness to the fruit, all blackberries, olives, fennel and cigar box. Tannins have absorbed well into the wine, no harsh edges, very soft and smooth. In a lovely place and should hold for some time. Will it improve? Hard to say but I expect it will keep changing as tertiary flavours start to emerge.
