Very good. Enticing pure black currant, blackberry, and hints of dark chocolate on the nose. Warm fruit on the palate, but not sweet or over extracted, with good acidity. Fully mature, but will likely sit at this plateau for another 5 years if not a bit longer if stored well. Satisfying.

If your bottle has signs of oxidation or heat, it means it hasn't been stored properly. This was one of the best vintages at Moss Wood and this vintage is made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon and was aged for 2y in oak.
It has an intense nose with tertiary aroma's of tobacco, black tea & smoke. The confit currant & plum notes add a nice complexity to this aromatic profile.
The palate has such a vibrant energy! It has a juicy fruit-forward concentration with firm but ripe tannin structure and moderate to high acidity. A well structured wine on the way to finesse.
I opened a bottle that was in perfect condition and could easily age for 5+ years, considering the presence of fruit and tannins.

Decanted and served immediately. Expressive - blue fruits, cedar, smoke, herbs, earth. Palate is harmonious and balanced. Delicious. Elegant with suitable intensity and length.

Took a gamble and bought from a collection. Heat affected and completely gone :( Hope the 2002 from the same collection is not the same!
