Enjoyed a magnum March 2, 3, and 4, for our Forty-Fifth Wedding Anniversary, cork was completely saturated and split into two pieces while opening, bright beet red coloration in the glass, an auction magnum bought sixteen years ago for $60, same notes all three nights which suggests this wine could easily last another five years if properly stored, nose of red and black cherry fruit, hints of minerals, forest floor and barnyard, same on the palate, medium/big body, tasty, old style Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, elegant tasting, mouth filling fruit, easy to sip and savor and reflect upon, and a long, flavorful finish and aftertaste. Uploaded a bottle picture.
Bright plum color in the glass, completely saturated cork came away in two pieces, lovely nose of raspberry, plum, baked red cherry, and earth, more of the same on the palate, medium body, tasty but past its prime, smooth, paired great with stuffed chicken breast, long, acid, flavorful finish and aftertaste, not bad for a 42 year old bottle of wine.
