Great showing here. Drinking very nicely. This bottle had all the same notes of the last but with a distinct V8 juice thing, thing celery, Carrot and tomato juice with some creaminess in the middle and a more robust finish.

Cellared well with respectable level of ullage and no wine rising past the cork bottom. Brick orange ribbon st the edge with deep red opaque color reflecting heavily concentrated components despite the vagaries of the vintage. Beautiful nose with strict varietal representation. Heavily concentrated flavor with a very slight thinning out and dryness mid palate due to clinging tannins. Lovely vanilla notes with profile resembling Napa floor heavies. Tannins cling to the gums and teeth with the Madasgar vanilla soaring over the perfectly balanced luscious fruit, and acid. My last 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon from selective buying on a classical musician’s income. Another wonderful liquid time capsule memory. Must visit the winery on next pilgrimage.

On the nose leather, saline, a little gamey with black cherry and blackcurrant cordial. With time some minerality, a touch of mint, tobacco and sou bois. In the mouth the fruit has a touch of kirsch and Ribena with a slightly salty quality. Mid palate tannic grip is slightly drying. I served this at cellar temperature which helped the alcohol. Pretty much singing, for me, at this age. Lovely.
