In a great spot. If you have a case of this, it's time to start mowing through them. Easy 94. Could age another 20 years with ease and IMO there is still a bit of upside potential to this wine.

Kept hands off for 15 months and rather surprised I was able to do that. The last note is echoed here tonight. This wine is on the "3 decade plan" and is very alive.

This. Is. Napa. Cabernet. If this was double decanted back into an empty bottle of overpriced $300 Napa cab, it would be heralded. But, alas this is *only* Charles Krug VS Cabernet. And lemme tell you, this one will still be drinking in 2040. Intense blackberry, cassis, blueberry, cinnamon, stiff, youthful toasted tannin finish. Yet, this wine displays a finesse with an herbal side, a mature grapestemmy side, a "timeless" side. Drinking WELL with 30 minutes or less of a decant. Going to TRY to keep my hands off the other bottles, but there is no guarantee of that! You can drink now with a 1-2 hour decant, or hold for 20 years!

Deep and rich; structured; youthful; sweet, concentrated berry with long, sweet finish.
