  • From a very nice looking bottle with a high shoulder filll, this wine had a red center and orange rims. The medium intensity nose showed cherries, red dust, oranges, and soil.

In the mouth, this wine was light and refined with an attractive balance and a nice, refined, finish. It gained in the decanter so I would not suggest popping and pouring.

A nice, light wine but drink up.

  • Amazingly, even at 50 years old, this was still hanging on with a bit of tart red fruit. Clove on the nose; cranberry and aged leather on the palate, with earthy notes like the smell of old wet leaves. Although far past its prime, this was good enough that we finished the bottle.
