  This is a beautiful wine that is still in its sweet spot!
  
  Winebid purchase. Mid neck fill. Cork saturated only 1/4 inch.
  Color: Youthful purple/ruby to garnet rim.
  Nose: Deep and complex with smoke, eucalyptus, cherry preserves, earth and a hint of thyme.
  Palate: Rich and supple with great balance, length and depth. Soft tannins in the finish say that this has a ways to go. Mature flavors of red fruits, currants and ???, something I can't put my finger on.
  
  Really nice with a strip loin beef roast. Bravo to Charles Krug! One of the best 1984 cabs I've had in a long time...

  This wine was most delightful. Fresh, nice acidity, while 13.9% alcohol which is high for Napa a1984 wines it is balance given acidity; soft tannin but still have grip. Cherry, chocolate, tobacco. good finish. A real suprise and great value if all bottles like this one. I was going to auction but said of little value.
