Ruby color with some brownish color at the edges, the wine was decanted for 2 + hours. Light to medium bodied, and still tasteful, the wine offered a nice bouquet & an excellent finish. Impressive for a Cab from 1983.

WOW. This is another of the unknown provenance wines I acquired from an estate that has proved to be another testament that some wines just make it through. Wine was deep ruby in color no bricking with heavy sediment on decant. Let sit for about 30 minutes and all I can say is "Bruce 1er" nailed it on the description and 3 years later still right on the money. What a tribute to Grgich Hills wine making in the 80's and an awesome 36 year old Cali Cab wine experience so glad I was able to get this. Best part is........I got TWO OF THEM!! Think I'll expand the drinking window especially under known storage and provenance. Will update the last one.

Shows a beautiful dark red color with light brown in the rim. Nice bouquet. Has survived and evolved into an elegant, gorgeously complex wine with cherries, tobacco and leather nuances, and tempered oak from age. Silky smooth finish. So much in the Bordeaux style it could easily be mistaken for one.

Presented in double-blind fashion by one of the participants in our tasting group, this particular bottle was unfortunately severely maderized.

Amazing. I was 23 when these grapes were harvested. Not much left of the tannins but just awesome still
