The wine shows fresh pure black fruit, licorice, thin oak frame, floral notes, a touch spicy with bacon.
Palate is very fresh, mild tannins, again black fruit, cherries and berries, licorice again, velvety and juicy, medium acidity, medium to long finish

  • The wine is clear, with deep ruby color and thick legs.
On the nose, the wine is clean, with medium aromas of cherry, fresh meat, red and black fruits, spices, green fresh herbs.
On the palate the wine is dry, with medium plus acidity, medium plus ripe tannins (probably from the oak), medium body, medium plus alcohol, medium plus flavors of ripe red summer fruits, spices, fresh herbs, oak spices, vanilla.
The wine is of a very good quality, due to its length, depth and complexity. It is appealing and fruit driven at time of tasting, overall aromas and flavors indicates warmer vintage and ripeness, which can soft down a bit from further aging and to develop more of secondary profiles it has in its potential.

  • Quite concentrated, dark fruit - cherry, sloan, blueberry - but not over the top. Stays in balance thanks to good acidity and a mineral structure. Good lenght with iron, smoke and dark cherry.

  • Am drinking this over two nights. First impression is strong roasted Shiraz with intense but integrated smoky oak, plenty of acid and ample chewy, slightly bitter tannin. This is a very distinct and artistic wine. Started cool having just come out of the cellar, it really opened as it warmed. It not a heavy nor viscous wine, not a faint wine either, it has strength and it is bone dry. First night conclusion is that although it was lovely with the meal I will not open another bottle for a few years.

Second night notes: the tannins did appear more resolved. This is a very distinct and delicious wine, wonderful Shiraz somewhat lean but powerful and complex.
