The wine is clear, with deep ruby-garnet color and watery rims. On the nose the wine is clean, with medium plus aromas of ripe red and black fruits, fresh meat, spices, and earthiness notes. On the palate the wine is dry, with medium plus acidity, medium ripe integral tannins, medium body, medium plus alcohol, medium plus flavors of fresh peppery meat, spices, red and black fruits, plums, forest berries, black berry, red berries. The wine is of a very good quality, due to its length and depth, although being quite youthful at time of tasting, showing very good potential, along with balance and complex aromas and flavors profile, which can develop with more aging.

My third bottle of this since taking my first of 3 cases of 6 that I got on release - after attending a tasting of their range and particularly enjoying this style. This is a fantastically well made wine but right now it needs quite a bit more time. I decanted this for 6 hours and served with lamb two ways (slow cooked leg and lamb rack) and it was delicious. Not a monster but you know you are in Ausi Shiraz territory. I just think this will have much more to give up in another 5-10 years (or more!). At the moment it’s a little one dimensional but just such lovely juice that you don’t care too much!

Incredibly good but will improve. Has that trademark Torbreck intensity but is also incredibly well balanced. Hard to think of a better winemaker in Australia.

Lovely dark aromas - intense black berries and savoury herbs
Spicey tannins on front are dark, subtle and mellow with considerable depth. Long, long acidity on finish
