Appearance: medium garnet Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of savoury/meaty, sweet tobacco, clove, minty, blackcurrant, toast, mushroom, dark chocolate, blackcurrant leaf, cooked Chinese cabbage. It's developing. Palate: dry, high acidity, high tannins (fine grained and grippy), high alcohol, fully body, medium plus flavour intensity, the bitness of dark chocolate really comes across on the palate with very structural tannins. The finish is medium plus. Overall, it's a very good wine. Can drink now, but has potential for further ageing. The tannins are still quite prominent considering its age, which I would expect it to be more integrated. Other than that, it's a beautiful wine with full of complexity especially on the nose. PS. On day 2, the tannins are better integrated, which is great. Will give 1pt more for that to 92pts.

Almost zero ullage. PnP. Cork barely stained. Deep garnet. Smoke, graphite, dark berries, dried herbs, florals. Lovely balance here in it's mid-weighted style. Tannins are almost fully resolved. Drinking really well now.

i have always enjoyed this vintage of Cabernet from Giaconda and this bottle was in great condition. Excellent fruit purity and structure, mocha, olives and dark berries giving way to some savoury developed characters. Nice oak and good finish. Has some time to go as well I think.

Still dark garnet in color, not much sign of aging. Decent nose, herbal and clean. Notes of dried herbs, plum, olive, coffee, and tobacco. Bright acidity level with heat at finish. Good length and structure but probably too high in acidity and lack finesse. At least the oak is not dominating but still finish hot. Another disappointing experience. 87-90 pts.

In a nice spot right now. There are some chocolate and coffee notes on the nose along with ripe, dark fruits. It is round and creamy with blackcurrant and cherry fruit flavours overlaying cedary oak. Tannins are relatively soft and a kiss of acidity keeps everything in check.
