This was magnificent, getting better and better after 2 hours in the decanter and breathing up in the glass. It has sweet and luscious cherry and cassis fruits at its core. It has so much savoury nuance, with notes of menthol, teak, truffle and ironstone. It is rich and powerful, but light on its feet. Tannins are moderate and supportive and acidity brisk. Great balance and an expansive finish that is so long.

Drinking beautifully. A hint of minerally reduction. Some preserved lemon and spearmint too. Just enough flesh and a line of tangy citrus and mineral acidity. Beautifully balanced.

It is wine that is very much red fruited and has some aniseed spice and earth too. It is bright and fleshy. There are Provencal herbs and light florals. It sits so nicely in the mouth, delivering adequate depth of fruit flavour whilst remaining light on its feet. The finish is savoury and persistent.
