It is very sad that Rick does not make this wine anymore as it is a fine drop. Medium body and with only 13% alcohol, it makes it a nice change from the big Australian reds. Floral nose with spices and laced with a hint of cigar or cedar wood. The body was beautiful upfront consisting of cassis, dark fruits and fine tannin. With time in the decanter, it got darker like an aged baritone and quite chocolate. Where it failed to shine was the back palate and finish as it faded away quite quickly. Drinking beautifully now but can easily go for another 4+ years but ain’t sure it is going to get much better.

A nice nose of black fruit, spices and floral elements. There is a slight sour or greenish finish to the palate, which detracts from an otherwise good wine.

Beautiful mature and smooth Cabernet. Only medium bodied but loaded with complexity and depth. Smells of violets, cedar and earthy fruits with a solid frame of fine tannins. Such a lovely mouthfeel and so easy to drink. This is in a great window but will hold for a while.

Really developing nicely. Powdery tannins, soft yet dense cassis fruit and moderate oak. Will be better in time when it is fully knitted together and the tannins resolve.

Great length, impressive balance and plenty of structure to age.
