Lovely in this vintage, with a bit less power and guts than the '78 Carnot; more pretty with sous bois-inflected flavors; damp moss, soil, truffle shavings, cedar and campfire wood/smoke. There is a lovely orange top note that becomes tangy and sweet both on the nose and palate and does reveal a bit of acidity on the backend, but in this case it is quite pleasurable. Not sure if I would ever have guessed the vintage blind, as this is from stock that was obtained directly from the Domaine. Bravo! 93
