After a two hour decant, wine was very smooth and almost lacking any tannin. Was expecting a little more body and fruit but it finished nicely.

This was a fantastic bottle. Slow ox’d for 6 hours and then consumed over 3. Continued to open up for several hours in the glass, I really think you can’t over decant this one.
Youthful and fresh, berries, tobacco and leather on the nose. Big fruit on the palate, some nice acidity, and a bit of oak on the long finish. This was surprisingly good now, but will continue to evolve and improve for many many years.

Wonderful St. Julien, just open and drink it, no decanting necessary. Nice Cabernet notes with typical St Julien taste.
