  • Last bottle, splash decanted and drank over 2 hours.

From prior notes..."sour cherry, earthy. Dark fruit on the back of the palate, silky finish. Would drink in the coming 2-3 years" Took about 30 minutes to really show, a little funk in the beginning that dissipated after about 20 minutes.

Fruit is still nice and expressive, elegantly aged but starting to fade. Drink now

  • At Press tasting during PNV week (Then & Now), good opportunity to taste recent vintages, auction lots and library wines from some great vintners...

Consistent with prior notes...Kronos Vineyard is a little more concentrated than the regular Cab, maybe has a longer life. Tannins mostly resolved, sour cherry, earthy. Dark fruit on the back of the palate, silky finish. Would drink in the coming 2-3 years

  • Second of two bottles purchased at Nick + Stef's Steakhouse in DTLA. This bottle almost tasted spoiled right away but was patient and let it open up. Was rewarded in that it was not but not quite as good as the first bottle of same wine/vintage purchased at the same time. After sitting for 10 minutes started earthy and kept those earthy tones during the evening although softened in the end turning more elegant.

  • First of two bottles of the same wine purchased at Nick + Stef's Steakhouse in DTLA. Was surprised how much life it had. Very complex with different flavors coming through with each sip. Started with a deeper berry flavor, moving to cola & chocolate then finishing a bit earthy but subtle. Kept the fruit during the entire bottle which went quickly.

  • Focused and intense, with notes of mocha and roasted herbs. Pure and smooth flavors, and a medium finish.

(Corison Cabernet Sauvignon Kronos Vineyard) Elegant, but with a power so intensely focused that the wine initially tastes tight. After some time in a decanter, the roasted coffee, cherry, and mint aromas come out. The tannins are long and lean, with bright, vibrant acidity to match. This wine still has years ahead of it. Terroir: Kronos Vineyard
