Still fresh and bright out of the bottle. Decanted for about 3 hours. Fruit has come to the fore but the tannic structure still present. Nose of sandalwood with a hint of mushrooms along with undertones of iron..a metallic character.

This elegant but straightforward Cabernet offers a somewhat muted version of Corison: yes, there is acidity, integrated tannin, floral aromas, and subtle fruit. Still, this wine seemed to limp out of the glass, with less layered flavors and less lift on the finish than I had hoped. I get the sense this peaked about five years ago, but it seems faded now.
Light red in color and medium in body (like a Pinot), the wine offers aromas of dried cherry, worn leather, and wet espresso. Flavors of sour cherry, rhubarb, and baked plum, with a pleasant and lingering finish. 13.8% alcohol. Followed over three hours, but it was better earlier.
To be clear, I often find Corison wines too tart and diffuse, but I bought this direct in order to see how it aged (the easy out for any wine discussion - give it time!). So, yeah, with time, what's the verdict? Still not my jam. I can hear the justifications - drank it too late / early, decanted it too much / not enough, didn't meditate / kayak before drinking - but let's just call a spade a spade. I deeply respect Cathy's story; I see why people like her wines; but they're not for me.

A very pleasant wine showing what a well-produced Cabernet in Napa can mature to be. The nose was still full of fresh black fruits with all oak aromas having been fully integrated at this stage. Palate was still structured: nice acid, tannins were velvety and round, while the body was med+. Finish was med+ with black fruits dominating. What most impressed me was that the wine was not overtly fruit-forward, like many wines from Napa. I look forward to my other 2 bottles soon, although there is still a couple of years left in this wine.

Last bottle of this vintage, bought 10 years ago, in my cellar sionce. Last tasting was 2013...:) Looking for something nice for the Super Bowl, had with some casual fare. PnP
Medium ruby red, clear. Nose showing red and blue fruits, vanilla, mild oak. Palate of aged blackberry, plum, baking spice, faint saddle leather and mineral notes. Red berries/plum through the mid plate, aged but still bright. Tannins smoothed. Medium body and finish.
This was good right out of the bottle, started to fade (slightly) towards the end. Probably "peaked" a few years ago, but nicely aged in a very good spot right now. Would drink any remaining bottles in next few years

(Corison Cabernet Sauvignon Kronos Vineyard) Soft and elegant, this Cabernet whispers its flavors of cedar, plum, coffee, and wintermint. There is power in the palate, however, leading to a lovely, long finish. Very enjoyable right now. Terroir: Kronos Vineyard
