Tasted at the Wine & Spirits Top 100 Symposium in NYC. From vines originally planted about 50 years ago and aged in ~50% new French oak. Lots of black fruit (blackberry and black currant and black plum), relatively soft texture for its youth (3rd drought year in a row). Fairly rich and a bit jammy, though refined and plush. Spicy and chocolatey finish that lasts 45+ seconds. I would say this will age well, like all the Corison Cab's I have had but this is more forward and drinkable at this stage than usual in my experience. This would sit squarely in the middle and be attractive both to new world and old world aficionados. Lovely wine!
