This is a great wine and still has some room. I have cellared a lot of their better wines and their cabernets have proven to be exceptional wines improving with age. I've had one bad bottle of the 2010, which may have been the cork, but everything else is just great.

My first Corison in a long time and it makes me realize what a horrible error that has been. To me, this is really unlike anything else being made in Napa - it's not the old school bold from the Dunn or Togni model, but clearly not that modern junk either. What strikes me about this wine is the precision, the purity, the lightness, and the sweetness of the fruit. This strikes me as a Burgundy lover's Napa Cab.
The fruit is dark in color yet light in feel, with blackberry, cassis, but also a hint of sweet wild stawberry as well hiding in there somewhere. The secondary aromas are harder for me to pin down - something herbal and tending toward mint but not quite? Some tobacco? Dark florals? Mocha? The palate is so smooth, so silky and pure, with savory and dark fruit, and then just after the entry comes a huge pulse of wonderful flavor -sweet fruit (again cassis and wild strawberry) and pipeweed, some red spices. Pinpoint focus and these flavors continue right into a long, focused and delicious finish. The strawberry moves up in the line-up. Great grip. Lovely. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5.5-6/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 18-18.5/20.

Drank alongside the Mouton Rothschild 2002 over dinner. Pleasant wine but a little monolothic compared to the MR.
