On the nose wet gravel, hand cream, starfruit and citrus flours. Mouth filling and explosive sweet lime, green apple skin, weak iced tea. Very rich but great bracing acid and a muddy slate and ocean air minerality. Fun to drink.

Lovely nose of ripe fruit, some petrol/smoke and flowers. Quite sweet for a spätlese but this is fairly well balanced by a medium acidity. Lots of sweet fruit: apricots, pineapple, mango, apple, pear etc. Also honey, citrus and an avarage amout of stony and smoky minerals. Comes across as slightly heavy but still very nice.

Virtual Community Tasting Event (VCTE) V - A Month of Rieslings; 7/25/2009-8/31/2009: Popped and poured. COLOR - pale straw. NOSE - peach, melon, faint cat pee. It was a little more aromatic than the Kabinett. TASTE - flat at first but better with a little airing. Peach, melon, apple, some minerality, low acidity but well balanced. Sweeter than I like, but on the mark for this wine I think. Nice smooth finish. Very drinkable - went well with spicy Indian. OVERALL - Nice, but I wouldn't buy it again. (3+12+16+6)

Grosser Ring Tasting of 2007 wines from the Nahe, Mosel, Saar and Ruwer (German Embassy, London): A peachy nose with firm minerality. Sweetish palate. Lacks depth. Rather dull. Correct but dull.
