  • Yellow color. Thick oily coating in the glass. Lovely aged Spatlese nose, candied lemon-lime, verbena, caramelized apricots and a whiff of petrol. The palate has superb definition to the candied tangerine and ripe peach/apricot fruit, perfect interplay of sweetness and acidity and a long oiily, off-dry and mineral laden finish.

  • Upon opening nose was muted and some flavors were not showing. As time went on for the next hour until the last sip of wine was taken, the nose really started to open with some petrol notes that you find in a nicely aged riesling. Great mineral, slate and fruit flavors came alive. a nice crisp and mouthwatering acidity accompanyed all of this. Very nice.Next time I would open several hours earlier.
