Reticent on the nose, perhaps going through a slightly dumb phase, offering slightly oxidative aromas of apple, dried honey, orange and lime. Significantly off-dry, but expansive on the palate with ripe yellow apple and orange cream flavors.

Light gold colour with green highlights. Nose has peach, citrus, wet stone and subtle petrol notes - showing some development. Ripe, rounded and lingering yellow fruit flavours. Typical Spatelese sweetness levels and a good lingeringin finish. Balanced though I could detect the acidity on the tongue by the last glass. A nice luncheon wine with Red Mullet and mushroom duxelle.

Great '04 characteristics - good minerality on the nose acidity on the finish. The palate and nose were taken by sweet apple, light pear, and faint peach. A good way to open - probably would have been better with some food to counter-balance it.
