A luxurious wine, on a sweet side, full bodied and ripe. Too cloying with fish, this wine would go nicely with pork or chicken. There are hints of underlying minerality, though not enough to offset the sweetness. Will let this wine settle for a few more years in hope for a better balance.

Pleasing wine. Lots of mature, ripe amber fruit, with plenty of sweetness and just exquisite hints of petrol on the nose. With decanting, the balance became better defined with acidity framing the ripeness. Enjoyable and in a good drinking plateau.

Good color. Had a distinct petrol off flavor when first opened. It bothered me, but no one else in the group seemed aware. The least impressive of a set of three mosels tasted on the same evening -- a JJ Prum Graacher Himmelreich 2004 auslese and a Loosen Urziger wurzgarten spatlese 2004 -- both of which were fruiter and better balanced with no off notes.

A lovely wine. Golden color. Slight Petrol scent. Rich floral and fruit flavor. Nicely balanced acids. I wish I had more
