Really enjoyed this bottle, delicate, sophisticated, well balanced. Think this is in its drinking window with a long life ahead. Really enjoying the 09 Bordeaux’s right now.

Dark berries, well dosed oak and sweet spices in the bouquet. On the palate ripe dark berries, some graphite, a touch of sweetness and juicy, round acidity and tannin. The wine is still in its youthful drinking stage and already very delicious.

**Still my favorite, favorite Haut Bailly. I remember receiving the 2000 as a gift from a friend and opened it young. Its was down right cute and delicious. Then I bought several bottles and a couple of mags of the super rated 05. Then I tried other vintages and my assessment was the 2005 was falsely rated, the 2009 is optimistically well rated, and the the most recent tasting of the 2015 reminds me of the 2009 dialed back one notch in its youth. The 2015 is fab, and well priced in comparison to this. This bottle shows the same as always, with its sweet piper tobacco, dark damp earth, and now some nuances of coffee grounds. Very long, sweet, and silky...Drink or Hold
