Lovely nose with blackberry, cedar and fine spices. Starting to show development via earth, leather and tobacco aromas. A touch of forest floor. Medium bodied with good structure and acidity. Lacking some intensity on the mid palate. Long savoury finish. Not sure this is for the long haul given the current level of development.

Not a bad wine. Maybe a tad over its prime. Decanted over 2 hours but did not help opening up the fruit. Nice color, smooth in your mouth. Nose was full.
My suggestion would be that if you still have some in your cellar, now would be a good time to drink, I do not believe it will get better with time as this point.

Found it quite austere and straightforward on the first night but greatly improved the second day. The nose opened up with spice, graphite, lovely smoky notes and the palette smoothed out with ripe fruit and some pepper. A medium but enjoyable finish. Only have one bottle which I was fine with on day one but regretting on day two.

The nose is fantastic with loads of pencil shavings and nice tertiary aromas with ripe fruit.
On the palate there are nice, firm tannins, red berries and some graphite. Not a lot of depth, however, somewhat light but has a nice, long aftertaste.
I bought this bottle ten years ago on the very day me and my wife found out she was carrying our first child. Now drank it to celebrate my birthday. Went very well with the food (mushroom risotto and barbecued flank steak).

Thin body, decent by not great complexity and finish. A bit disjointed but not due to tannins, which were nicely integrated.
