The 2022 Saint-Pierre shows an impressive, black-fruited and slightly Christmas-spicy character, deep, cool, and confident with a supple surface shrouding a firm core. The tannins here are quite sophisticated.
This is another example illustrating the fact that Saint-Pierre has ridden itself of its brettanomyces-addled past, making clean, classic wines.

Concentrated, lush, deep, ripe, full, and intense, the fruits are elegant, creamy, ripe, and polished. There is a purity to the fruits, and a sensuality to the texture that really works here this year. The wine blends 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot. 13.9% ABV. Drink from 2025-2045. 94-96 Pts.

En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Two (Bordeaux): Earthy, savoury, dark hued fruits, a littler spice, cedar in support, smells balanced and complete. Medium plus intensity acidity, savoury dark hued fruits, plenty of drying, chalky tannins. It's all a bit shouty at the moment but the nose shows promise. Hmm.
