Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Very pale, yellow-toned orange tawny color. Very pungent and oxidative nose with rather flat aromas of soy sauce, beef jerky, some burnt sugar and a hint of mint. Overall the wine comes across as dead. The wine is medium-bodied and very dead - even off-putting - with dull flavors of soy sauce, raisin, some salty beef jerky and a hint of dry tree bark. The wine is moderately high in acidity with medium tannins that jut out awkwardly amidst a barren landscape devoid of any fruit. The finish is dry, raisiny and completely in pieces with oxidative flavors of soy sauce and meat stock.

This wine is fully dead and completely in pieces. All life has this bottle years - probably decades - ago.
