Showing its age, but still good. Rustic aromas of earth, dried red fruits, and black spice. Flavors are mature with a dusty dried spicy black fruits with good acidity. Past prime for sure, yet drinkable.

clear, with very medium burgundy color fading substantially at the rim. light but not surprising given the age. quite a bit of sediment in the bottle. medium- intensity on the nose, with notes of leather, oyster mushroom, and a hint of baking spice. palate is resolving itself quite nicely after about 45 minutes of air, flavors of mushroom and chief green olives, with fully resolved tannin and some crunchy dark red fruit. finish is short. this is a very good package yet!

cork soaked 90% of the way through, and broke in half at the end.. this bottle was perfectly preserved. just a wonderful wine, stewed dark fruits and soft leather, very plush and soft with an excellent finish. if it's in good shape this should be an excellent wine and worth the aftermarket price.
