  • Surprisingly deep red colour, slightly dumb nose, but rich and ripe in the mouth. Just lacks a little flair. ****

  • Advanced aromas of fully mature mushroom, leather, dried berry on the nose. Nutty, Sherried flavours evolve on the palate and linger on the finish. Flavourful wine but it's over-the-hill.

  • Decanted for about 3h. Lovely Cab nose, bell pepper, tobacco, coffee and blue fruit. The palate is medium bodied, fresh, shows classic restraint and flavors. I really like the style here, nothing overripe, not too much oak, just old school, rustic bordeaux as it should be. A bit too drying on the finish which makes it short, also maybe not enough concentration for the long term, but a lovely drink now. 17.5/20

  • Surprisingly dark colour for a lighter vintage. Only hinting at maturity.
Dark fruit nose with plum and blackcurrant, earth and cedar. The earth almost like TCA.
In the mouth tannic and fairly lean. Old school serious claret, not a fruit bomb. Leaves the mouth cleanly, so I don't think it was corked. No need to rush this one.
