A Tribute to 30yrs of 1982 Left Bank Bordeaux (The Papies, Elizabeth St, London): Dark almost burnt caramel in colour. Still with a lot of life ahead of it but lovely to drink at this age. Caramel notes, candied aprocots. Lots of life and another great showing. 92.

Annual Pilgrimage to Chateau Lanessan (and its 200 year old cellar ); 8/19/2011-8/21/2011 (Chateau Lanessan, Bordeaux): Dark caramel in colour. Still a youngster on the palate with lots of vitality. Candied fruit, caramel notes but very good balance. Some bitterness still exists but nothing that age (and patience) cannot fix. Tons of aging capacity.
