Terrific wine. Opens with honeyed apricots, orange marmalade and a hint of lime. Excellent balance with a dark, golden color the envy of winemakers everywhere. No need to wait any longer, it is time.

A deep coppery gold, like molasses. So much going on with the nose it is hard to know where to start. Apricot, honey, marmalade, smoke, charcoal, vanilla, caramel.... It's not as sweet as you might expect, nor as intense as the colour might suggest. Right in the zone, the acidity is holding up very well and this has a density that is without any sense of thickness. Totally delicious. Excellent with Rhubarb Pie! From a half.
Medium copper. Beautiful pronounced and developed nose - dried apricot, orange marmelade, ginger, saffron, tobacco, caramel, vanilla, smoke. Sweet palate, medium+ acidity that helps retain freshness, palate very similar to the nose, long finish. Final bottle of three that have given much pleasure. There’s no hurry to drink this but it is fully developed and unlikely to develop significantly further. Personally I’d say drink now whilst it still retains its freshness.

From Magnum. Apricot, less sweet style that I like. Mature with years of life left. From Magnum drink now to 2027.

Needed half an hour of air just to blow off some initial funkiness. Then it was layers walnuts, almonds, candied pears and bliss.
