Fieuzal Vertical: Similar to the 95. The consistency is astounding. This will continue to become like older advantages. Dark cherry, dark plum character now.

Appearance is deep reddish brown and slightly cloudy. Nose in the first hour is very earthy and savoury with heady chocolates and slight menthol. In the second hour, the nose diffuses into a more elegant fragrance of mixed spices, black pepper and flowers. On the palette, this is spritely and lively, allowing the wine of big ripe plum and savoury flavours to be elegant instead of cloying. Tannins are integrated but just enough for a smooth drink with sufficient texture. As the night progresses, the wine thins out and becomes tea like in texture and taste and there’s a hint of menthol again although the core taste of plums and savoury goodness remain. Drinking very nicely now.

Initially still lots of fruit in the nose, also caramell. Then developing more and more notes of a mature wine. Medium intensity. Acitidy on the high side. Still very enjoyable. Drink up now!

Really spot on after a couple hours in the decanter. As it came up to room temp it showed exceptional fruit.
