Bery nice, yet still somewhat tannic and sturdy. Last april we savored a bottle of this wine during a memorable tasting in a certain Léognan kitchen and I remember that bottle as more generous, hedonistic and polished.

Can this really be an 09, served from .375? It seems too young. Even after an hour's decant the nose is somewhat muted, and the colour a lovely deep crimson with no trace of bricking. In the mouth it’s clear that it’s reaching the end of its primary window, but black fruits still dominate with a hint of Graves white pepper. Good length.

This was in an elevated place. Spectacular blend of flavors and heady aromas. Fantastic. Did not decant.

Really nice dark fruit and mushrooms on the nose. Soft on the palate, very tasty. Slightly short on the finish.
