On continu dans les vieilles bouettes achetées d'un encan par l'ami Denis. Ouff, la moyenne n'est pas haute, pourtant les conditions de garde était top notch (cave de la SAQ). Encore une fois, tertiaire et animal. Next!

Definitely past its prime. I have not been a big fan of Armailhac (probably the reason I ignored this in my cellar until now). It is not worth describing the attributes of this wine, suffice it to say that my wife dubbed it "nasty".

How the hell did I end up with a '93 in the cellar? Typical Pauillac nose of graphite, currants, and leather. Dark garnet showing so visible signs of ageing. A bit hollow in the mid palate with a drying finish. Worked ok with roasted chicken. Not a bad wine for the $15 it cost (price tag was still on the bottle).

Cork came out whole and very easy with the help of the Ah-so.
Lots of red and black berries and some minerals but such a good, smooth balance and some acidity. Oaky and a little earthy. Very soft tannins.
If you have this in your cellar you should probably think about drinking it soon.
