  • Decanted and drank over two days. Medium to heavy body, minimal bricking at the rim. Fruit, tar and cigar on the nose, similar on the palate along with a good dose of anise, particularly on day-1. Integrated tannin and medium acidity but plenty of backbone to drive the highly pleasing and nuanced Pauillac finish. Seemed best on day-1 after 3-4 hours of air, still good on day-2, but less nuanced. I agree with others on this - in a wonderful spot now but no hurry.

  • This is in a great place right now. Actually it's surprisingly open, I would have expected a 2010 to be a bit tighter. Soft, dry, vertical, very elegant with a pleasant note of blueberries and chocolate behind.

  • Love this juice- 14 years after harvest and still a powerhouse. Gorgeous palate of dark fruits, deep sweet earth, tar, dark slate spine that carries the incredible structured wine from start to finish.

The wine is fresh, young, deep and well balanced affording the lucky few that have quantity in their cellar to enjoy now that it has entered its long window as well as for the next decade or more.

Gorgeous expression from this fifth growth - and in this vintage drinks well above its arbitrary ranking. Would 100% buy more of given the opportunity of prestine storage.

  • This seems better than the last bottle a few months back. An hour decant and she is rocking. Full bodied beauty! Tobacco, leather nice dark fruits. Distinctive Mouton look, smell and feel. Top vintages of this will do that, and 2010 is top of the tops that can be drank enjoyably now. Really nice wine. A lot going on here, and certainly one not to miss.
