Un joli Bordeaux à maturité. Robe sombre, les arômes de fruits noirs sont contrebalancés par des arômes tertiaires (tabac, sous-bois). Les tanins sont bien fondus.

Lively, balanced, tobacco, graphite, mostly subtle and hidden under light fruit. A very joyful wine. We were celebrating a family dinner at the end of the pandemic- a great way to drink my second to last bottle of this. Fabulous on a cool spring night.

The last of my current stash, but no need to hurry if you still have some. Not quite as plump as before, but it still has lots of bright, sweet fruit, mostly black cherry and blackcurrant. It doesn't have the body or grip to improve but it should hold for a few more years. Not a great wine but a very reliable, enjoyable Pauillac.

Pulled from cellar, let stand for 24h. Popped and poured, appeared slightly closed with not much fruit. Let air out for a few hours before serving. Black fruits bordeaux characteristics. Balanced smooth tannins with enough structure to last many more years but not likely to get much better than now. Drink now but air out in bottle (slow ox) for at least 30 min before drinking.

Un Pauillac équilibré avec des arômes tertiaires tabac ainsi que de fruits noirs. Parfait avec un plateau de fromage.
