  • Needs an hour and a half in glass to open up. Black cherry and tobacco, and somewhat rustic. Medium to medium plus body. The dark cherry brings out the sweetness and the texture is Italian style, which means distinctive alcohol and balanced fruits. The wine is good with burgers, steak, or something with spice because it has a rustic undertone.

  • My first taste of this wine. Needs air to open (for a 2020 it's not too bad right out of the gate). Continued to taste over 3 hours, and longer is definitely better. I will guess tomorrow it will be even better. After 3 hours, the color is a medium ruby. The nose has red fruit and menthol with hints of mushroom. The palate has tart cherry with some earthiness. No complexity at this early stage. Medium body with slightly drying tannins and medium acid. Medium finish. Not sure that the P/V ratio is very good, but still too early to tell.
