Last bottle of our case. Already peaked - on the downward slope now. Loads of sediment when decanted. Savory and pithy (like when young), but less fruit now. Some pleasant chocolate, cherry and cassis notes persist, but a bit rustic. Moderate acidity remains. Lots of red apple skin on the finish. Decent with fatty food now. Recommend to drink up.

Best bottle yet of the original case. Evolving nicely. Burgundy glass helped. Loads of cherry compote. Savory notes of thyme, oregano, etc. Brooding. Some lactones. Well balanced acidity and tannins. Quite solid, finally.

Potentially past prime. Thin and lacking mid-palate fruit. Acidic and tinny. So-so with food; not good on its own. We'll see how the other half of the bottle shows tomorrow.

Surprisingly vibrant and fruit-forward for being nearly 10 years old, and still structured, but a bit tinny and thin on the palate, with a short finish and simplistic fruit profile; more of a pizza wine

Fairly tannic, but mellowed with aged (loads of sediment attest to plenty of polyphenol-anthocyanin binding); subtle red fruit - mostly cherry; some funk; overall still plenty drinkable, but still rustic as well.
