I should have looked into my previous notes to wait a bit with this bottle, but after a recent 2012 tilting into overmaturity I tend to err on the cautious side. Fresh, crisp dark cherries and raspberries, liquorice, coffee and the obligatory garrigue notes and exotic spices, all in the right proportions. Once the tannins will be sorted (in two years) this bottle will develop into a treat. Hold your horses.

Could be a problem with this bottle or how it was stored, but it feels older, past peak. However, the cork is actually in good shape. Prune, stewed fruits, warm spice. I don't have more bottles, but based on this, I would recommend to drink up.

First Gigondas in a while that is still evolving. Liquorice, chocolate and herbs mingle to a most typical Gigondas, but 2/3 more years will benefit this bottle borne in an outstanding vintage.

Blackberry, liquorice, leather. Huge alcoholic presence but just full bodied in the mouth. Herbal, thyme. Very spicy, pepper and cinnamon, brown sugar. Excellent.

Deep ruby. Cranberry, red cherry, strawberry. black pepper. Medium tannins, medium acidity. Richly dense fruit and bags of pepper on the palate. Slight alcohol burn at the end. But a long finish. Have one more bottle and will leave it for a good few years till it is a little less punchy.
