Visits in Bordeaux; 9/18/2023-9/19/2023 (St Julien, Saint-Emilion, Pomerol): The nose is open and seamless with balanced tones of cassis, dark red cherries, licorice, raspberries, crushed rocks, fresh herbs, kirsch liqueur, and some violets. There is good complexity, but the depth is slightly lacking. The Medium/full bodied feel shows off the balance and seamless qualities of the nose with medium acidity and medium tannins. The structure is resolving and the feel is somewhat lush. This is a lovely start to the tasting and it is showing in a real good spot right now.

Quite brick red for a 10 year old wine, first aroma is heavy fruit, cherry, bramble then it softens and leather comes through, smells powerful, alcohol quite noticeable. Not great mouth feel, quite dry ans a bit thin, but tannins grip and finish is long and spice comes through. Some toast and age but feels like it will deepen more

Lovely wine, more characteristic of what this winery can do than Bordeaux as a whole. Succulent fruit, a nice degree of complexity, mature at 8 years. Delicious. Smack more of the winemaker than the terroir, I'd say.

6L btl. D2h. Notes by memory. Dark red, 5.5. Ripe red fruits, forest floor, cask sweetness that needs integration. Harmonious palate, intense currants, medium plus tannins, elegant finish. Drink now-2030

I think I agree with other notes, still a little withdrawn even after a decant. Gives you a sense of what could be so hold for a year or two?
