  Upon opening, we felt the wine was corked as its super plummy with a wet cardboard nose. I thought the wine was heated at some point. We decanted the wine for 2 hours. Wow, its a complete different wine. Nose has tobacco, black tea, red fruit, earth, smoke and prunes. Im shocked that the acidity actually grows in the glass after decanting. Still very fresh and vibrant. Very integrated and expressive. It is drinking very well but it will stay at this level for easily 10 more years. I would want more complexity on the palate to rate it higher than 93.

  Bel naso pulito con il frutto rosso in primo piano arricchito da note balsamiche, terrose e minerali. Bocca equilibrata, tannino setoso, buona struttura con finale lungo e saporito in un contesto di grande freschezza.

  brick red color , earth , cigar box , licorice and a little madeira note , on the palate round, still with a nice acidity , medium to full bodied, quite long finish
