PNP. Deep magenta color. Raspberry, orange zest, chocolate cake, soil, minerality, and subtle peanut. Smooth, dry, slightly tart palate. Full, lower intensity tannins on the medium long finish.
This was rated 100 points by Suckling. Bought a bottle and it was uninspired. First time in Hong Kong and needed to see Suckling’s wine bar. It’s surprisingly nondescript and hard to find. Food was mediocre. Regardless, it was a fun experience.

An incredible young wine of such potential. Fantastic length and balance. Ultra fine tannins and perfect acid. Such purity and potential. I suggest leaving until 2025 earliest, but 2029+ should see it in the best drinking zone. One of my best wines of the past 12 months.

Gourmet Traveller (Dec2021) 100 ⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑ 2019 Mount Mary Quintet, Yarra Valley, A$165 One of the greatest Quintet releases. Aromas of blueberry, mulberry and cassis framed in fresh leaf and cedar, some violet perfume, too. The layered palate has ultra-fine tannin and concentrated pure flavours of blueberry, redcurrant and cassis. Pitch-perfect acidity. 15yrs

Mount Mary Tasting - Langtons (Virtual with samples sent): Amazing aroma - even a floral (rose) edge. Red fruits and mulberry. Young, tannic and bright. Good fruit but with dry finish. Nice frame/structure. Very young but an engaging quality - could turn out great.

Young. Too young. Seeemed Cabernet dominant. Compact. Think this could be good, but leave it alone for 5 years. 92-94+
