  • Last of a 3-pack that I bought more than 10 years ago... Eucalyptus notes. Solidly in its secondary phase. Lovely and very enjoyable.

  • Beautiful wine right in its drinking window. Supple. Smooth. Mid-full body. Everything integrated but still so fresh and youthful.
Herbaceous and subtle green olive- perhaps the cab franc coming through.
    Perfumed floral notes.
Nice red fruit core, hint of pencil shavings.
What struck me most was the balance and harmony.

  • Red fruit with some sweetness and a little mint on the nose. A slight creaminess coming through as well. Very similar palate. For this bottle at least, there is still room for maturity however much further along than my last bottle 3 years ago. Very well made and looking forward to my remaining 2 in the coming years.

  • At 19 years of age, this Quintet is right in the zone. Cassis, dark cherry, violets and a herbaceousness that has a hint of tomato leaf to it. Cedar notes are fully integrated and reside well in the background. Acidity is bright and the fruit profile is still relatively fresh. Tannins are mostly resolved but still give a little grip. Held up perfectly over 2 days. Excellent stuff. No rush to drink.

  • Bob's cellar. Ruby red, no bricking. Plum and redcurrant nose, menthol, game and cedar. Sharp redcurrant opening to the tasting, mint and restrained tannins in the background. Darker fruits are hidden but perceptible. Pnp so will see how this opens up. Continues to evolve, stays very bright red fruits, not much dark fruit comes through. Nice and refined but not exceptional for me. Day2, consistent with yesterday, remains a good red, quite bright.
