Bought on release, stored properly and rewarded for my patience. Decanted for 2 hours prior to serving with Australian Waygu filets - a wonderful pairing. The wine, visually did not hint at its age - it was bright with little bricking. The nose was classic forest, earth and just a hint of eucalyptus. Besides the eucalyptus it was very classic Bordeaux aromas. The wine has a medium depth but enough to provide a very full mouth feel and offers a long finish. Flavor is as expected - earth, lead, black fruit and still very fresh with a slightly acidic presence. Very enjoyable and may wait another year or two to have my last bottle.

NobleRottersSydney - Mount Mary (Fix, St James, Sydney): {cork, 12.5%} There is more maturity here than in ’03 or ’06. A beautiful nose of aging currants, cigar-oak; it’s very much in a Bdx style, but one with quality ripe fruit. The balance on the palate is impressive; intense despite just medium weight, it’s delicate in some ways yet has a laser focus. Deliciously poised wine; a melange of red and black fruit flavours, neither old nor young but developing beautifully. Hold longer for more treats.

Decanted and poured immediately. Cassis, pomegranates, touch of cedar, black fruits, dried herbs. The palate is fine, elegant, and carries a seamless, medium intensity all the way through to the long finish. Shines with food. Lovely.

Now we’re talking. Beautiful. Not quite at peak. Stood upright for 6 weeks. Decanted x 4 hours. Fantastic wine.
