From a bottle purchased in a restaurant, this wine had a yellow center and clear rims. The medium intensity nose was a bit oaky at first. After a couple hours of air it showed citrus, vanilla, and a hint of pineapple.
In the mouth, this wine had a great lush texture, solid acidity, and very good length. It benefitted from air but I was notable to give it a full test.
While this will not be mistaken for a Burgundy, and it is still young, it is a nice wine. This is drinking. Will it get better?

Well made wine, high quality, yet didn't do it for me. I am not a huge CA Chard fan, but sometimes they really appeal to me. The oak is in check, and there is a definitely sun-baked quality to the fruit. There is a "green pea" quality that I find often in new world chardonnay, unless really fresh, that I didn't quite enjoy. I am sure it is an excellent example of the genre though.

nose - spicey nose of vanilla, clove, lemon curd. perfumed mouth - full bodied, creamy and vanillain, though not over the top. hints of lemon&lime on the finish. while this is very nice for what it is, my preference in white has drifted considerably since this was acquired. For fans, this is an elegant domestic chardonnay. I, on the other hand, am having a hard time drinking more than a third of a glass.

No flaws. No sediment. No rim variation. We are big HdV fans, but, this bottle had a somewhat unusual after bite. Great nose, good citrus fruits, pear and apple. No tannin, low alcohol. Short finish, but, with some bitterness. Not sure if it is just our bottle or not (only one we have). Nonetheless, very drinkable. Good be in back end of window given above comment.

(Hyde Vineyards HDV Chardonnay) COLOR-golden; NOSE-a really interesting of New and Old world; some honey and sunshine, but a nice sense of underlying minerality; a hint of pear and a subtle white flower component as well; quite interesting; PALATE-very fresh; medium to full bodied; based on previous vintages this is not as heavy as I expected; much more of an acidic, citrus component; very elegant; some butter and oak, but the balance is exceptional on this wine; very nice, well made wine, although a little pricey; GV-91+

Beautiful bottle of chard. Perfectly drinkable. Suspect plenty of bottle life left.
